Hi there,
Yes indeed, recurring events taking place (partially) in the future will not automatically be deleted.
Please note that a recurring event is only one event in the database and as such takes up very little space. If you want, deleting past occurrences is fine, but it will not free up any space in the database.

Yes, it is set up as a recurring event and it makes sense that it would not delete. I will delete them individually. Thanks for the response.
Hello Fbonani
Could it be that the birthday events are created as recurring events?
In this case the event cannot be deleted by the cronjob, as it is coming in the future.
You can however, delete ( by hand ) one occurence in a serie. This way you can delete only the birthday-event that is past, and let the future events stay in the calendar.
Please tell if this solves your problem
Kind regards
John S.
I'm pretty sure I have set the settings to delete previous events after one day, there is a cron job running but my events are not being deleted. Am I missing something? All of the events that have not been deleted are Birthday related...does that something to do with this? Here is a link to the calendar:

Thanks for your help.
