About the line break - I think this is the post you refer to: https://www.luxsoft.eu/lcforum/viewtopic.php?id=335

Roel offered in this post a possibility to have line breaks in the title.
If this would solve your problem, then I suggest you contact him via the contact page, and give him information about what version you are using.
I am pretty sure he could then send you two files with the minor changes.

Hello Marcel

You could set the time slot height to its maximum. This gives more space - but a day will then be "long".

An option for the all-day where you could choose between "aside" ( as now) or "below". If set to below, then the all-day should expand so every event took up one line in the cell. The day with the highest number of all-day events should "decide" the height in day-view amd week-view.. But it is only a suggestion for a possible solution - it is not possible today.

I think we should have advice from a real expert - Roel. Maybe he has a solution.

If you are using the display, you could tell your users that they can have the calendar on their mobile.
All they have to do is show the display on their mobile and then make the display/page an icon on the phone. No app installation needed and then they could always have the calendar in their pocket. Next time they only have to click the icon to see the calendar.

OH - just read your post again.
I missed the "week". As there is not much space for the All-day's I see the problem.
Have you considered using the display?
I think the display could be good for your case. You could then have alll the event-information shown - and the display(s) is perfect also for viewing on mobiles.
Could one of the displays be a solution for you?

Since the latest versions, it has been possible to format the eveninformation.

See this post : https://www.luxsoft.eu/lcforum/viewtopic.php?id=335

Please tell if this is helpful - or if it was something else you meant.

If it is the title itself - why would you need to make line breaks?
The calendar wraps the text automatically if you have a very long title.

If you meant breaking up the event title itself in more lines - I think this is not possible

In settings in  the : "Event layout in Month, Week and Day view"  you could specify this : #ts #e  #o   It will show Time(*if not allday),  title and event owner on the same line.

If you specify : #ts#/#e#/#o
You will see three lines for the event in month view. The time, the event title and the event owner each on a separate line.

You can hover  the : "Event layout in Month, Week and Day view"  In settings - then you will see some information for the possibilities.

Hello Sank

You could use the categories and the user-groups for that.

You can create a user-group that some users belong. And on this usergroup you could set which categories is allowed to edit/view.

Is it so :

The mail-address set up in the calendar settings is a mail-address "belonging" to the domain.
On this mail-address that is in a mailbox on one.com, there is made forwarding to other addresses.
And this is functioning.

But when sending mails from an event to one or more specific mail-addresses then it does not function.

At the moment I have not installed the 4.7.8 L, but when I am sure I know how you have it set up, I could make an installation on a testsite on a one.com domain, to test if I will experience the same problems.

Maybe Roel know what can cause this.
I think the easiest would be if you would contact him on his "Contact us" page. If you would give him access to your calendar, then he could log on and do some test and investigatoion. Maybe it is just a matter of settings.

Eventually we could make the same situation on my test-calendar and then test until we find the problem.

forgot some questions :
If the problem is in a list - how many addresses on the list?

As there is some logic in finding the email addresses :
Do you specify some addresses as sms - or do you always use email-addresses?
I nearly dare not ask - but - are you sure all the addresses is spelled correct?
What happens if you send a non-calendar message via your providers mail-program?
Are you using a provider for your site, or do you have your own server?
What type of server are the calendar located on?
What calendar version are you using?   L or M - version number?

Hello John

In the last couple of years, most providers require that when sending a mail, the senders email must belong to the same domain as the websites domain.
But as you describe it, then it sometimes function - and sometimes not. As the senders email is set in the calendars setting, then the sender will always be the same - and then it should always  either function - or not.
Is the problem when sending to one address or is it only when sending to a list?
Is it when sending "directly" or only when sending from a cronjob?
Is there something in a log-file?
Does the test-function in settings send an email?
Are you using SMTP for sending?

Hello Doss

I don't think you are doing anything stupid.
I often use an iframe to display the calendar. Also calendars from other domains.

It has clearly something to do with the session-cookie. Maybe the creation of the cookie is made by some PHP and that the server with the iframe, prevents the cookie to be created.
I think we need some help from Roel.

If you use the section character|

then - what is in the section will only be shown when data is present.
Meaning that the paranthesis should  only be shown when the event has data for the #a parameter.

Maybe you will need to have the time also in a section -to avoid problems with events having starttimes and all-day events.

You could also have a text like : (age: #a)

The result will be  : (age: 50)
If (1970) in the eventtext

Hello Lucas
In settings you have to specify the paranthesis - like this : #ts #e (#a)

In the event you specify the birth like this :  born (1970)
If you don't specify the paranthesis in the settings the birthday will be shown as a number.
If you wrap the #a parameter in paranthesis (#a) then the paranthesis is shown as text.

I can confirm that I can reproduce the problem - must have slipped in the beta-test.

I am sure Roel can fix this.
I will use this opportunity to suggest the use of displays for using the calendar on mobile devices. I know it is not a fix, but it could be a workaround until the scrolling is fixed - and maybe you will become interested in the displays.

What I describe requires NO coding at all.

The calendar and the displays are already made for that.
On calendarforum.dk you can make a post. We will then contact you and give a link where you can see an example, with log in.
If what we find out is what you want, then you can make an additional post here, where you explain what you have done in your own calendar to achieve it.

@fbonani

With the new generation of displays you should be able to do that.

You can have a category that is for public.
And a category that is for only logged on.

Then events with birthdays - recurring 1 year,

Then a display that shows the 2 categories.

The public category will be shown when not logged in.

Both the public and "private" will be shown when logged in.

The login is to the display.

This will function automatically for the next 100 years

Only thing is, that it cannot automatically show the number of years. This has to be edited manually:-)

I have not tried this myself - but it should be possible.

Hello Brien

As far as I know there is no such list.
But you can in the date-field in the navigation bar set the date back in time. Then - when you see the todo-list it will start from that date and a number of days forward.

It would maybe be smart that the todo-list started to show non-checked todo's xx days back-in-time from chosen date ( which will normally be TODAY )  and thereafter the list as it is now.
The xx should be to avoid a lot of entries if users does not check the todo-events.
Is it something like this you ask for?

Some/many mail-servers now requires that the sender address of a mail, is "belonging" to the domain.

Maybe it has something to do with this - or maybe it has nothing to do with this.

Hello Greig

Yes - it would be easier if we could post images and links much easier - but I think that it is blocked because of the persons that tries to sell "I listed some products that blocked my post" and other things or services.

Could you anyway supply a link to your calendar.
You could send a message via the "contact us". It could maybe also be useful for Roel to know which calendar version and PHP version you are using.

Hello Olivier

Regarding your 2. suggestion about the 2 subcategories :

As there is already 4 subcategories available for each category - what do you exactly mean?
Do you mean that you want 6????
Or was you not aware of the 4 existing subcategories???
or did you mean something completely different???

*** After installation of the "new" calendar, you have to change the url to your calendar.
It is one of the first settings : Calendar URL
