As the booking feature now also is active for recurring events, then a recurring event that blocks for weekends could be useful maybe.

Hello Laur

What you describe should be possible already.
For a category you can check no overlap.
There is 2 options - same category or all categories.

If you make a category with : no overlap for all categories.
Then make an event with this category - then no other events can take place for the time for the blocking event.

This can be used for closed on holidays or weekends - or whatever.

Please try and tell if this is what you ask for.

Which version are you using?

Was it possible that you contacted me via the calendarforum : http://calendarforum.dk/contact.html
You could then create a user that had access to own events - and then send me the login details - not here - in the contact-form.

I could then log on and try in your calendar. My testcalendar is a beta of the latest version.

There is no separator other than space.
The easiest way is :
Open the event window. In the description box you write the text you want.
Then when it comes to the thumbnails : Still with the event-window open, then click on the thumbnail in the dropdown. You should then see some thumbnails.
Left-click on one of them. Pressing ALT+TAB you go back to the event-window. Place the cursor where you want the image to be. CTRL+V to insert the thumbnail. Then ALB+TAB to go back to the thumbnails. Pick another thumbnail .... and so on.

If you insert the thumbnails on the same line ( no RETURN) then you should see them on the same line.
It is actually not the thumbnails you insert, but the name - the calendar will convert the name to an image when viewed in the event.

Yes - it is possible

If you take a look here : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/kalb447401/index.php
In the event 8. feb. I have made an event with 3 thumbnails aside.
In the event they are placed on the same line.
You will see them aside both when hovering the event, and when viewing the event.

If it is in the display you mean, then you could use display1.

In display1 it is possible to have 2 thumbnails on same line.

If you put the one thumbnail in extratext1 and the other in extratext 2, then youwill have the one thumbnail to the left - then the text and then the 2. thumbnail to the right.

Hello Mike

I just tested. Nearly all seem to function as described here : http://calendarforum.dk/todo-and-approve.html

I had a "normal" user that had create/edit own events rights. And then a manager user. And a category with approval.

When the "normal" user creates an event with approval, he cannot himself approve the event. OK
Other users than the admin and managers cannot see the event as long as it is "not approved yet" OK
The "normal" user will not see the option to approve events in the dropdown. OK
The Manager-user can see the even that needs approval. OK
When the event is approved the event is visible as a "normal" event. OK
The manager-user cannot see the approval choice in the dropdown - I think this is not OK, as the manager has rights to approve.
When the event is approved the "normal" eventowner can edit the event. I think this is not OK, as it should then be locked for other users than the managers and admins.

SO

There is 2 questions for Roel.
Should users with manager-rights not be able to see the list of events that need approval?
Should an approved event not be "locked" for the normal user even if he is the owner ?

Hello Mike

You need manager or admin rights to approve events.
If the special user has at least manager rights, then he should be able to see the unconfirmed events.

What rights are the special user given ?

I have tested it myself and for me it functions.

Just to make it clear :

You have created  a user:   BRIAN

This user has an email : brian@calendarforum.com

Then you use :  $_SESSION['lcUser'] = 'brian@calendarforum.com';

And you should see the calendar where user BRIAN is logged in.

I have placed my script in my calendars root.

When you place the script in the root, the iframe could be something like this :

echo '<li><iframe id="luxcal" src="index.php?cP=2" width="600" height="800" scrolling="yes" style="overflow:hidden; margin-top:-4px; margin-left:-4px; border:none;"></iframe></li>';

Sorry - it is the same idea but I know it should function.

And - just a suggestion :

Instead of :

echo "
<iframe id=\"luxcal\" src=\"/test/luxcal/?cP=2\"></iframe>
<P>
";

Then use one line and specify height and width ( easier to see the logged in name ):

echo '<li><iframe id="luxcal" src="/test/luxcal/?cP=2" width="700" height="850" scrolling="yes" style="overflow:hidden; margin-top:-4px; margin-left:-4px; border:none;"></iframe></li>';

Hello susanc

Your code is nearly OK.
Instead of the name, you have to use a mail

So

$_SESSION['lcUser'] = 'joe';

could be $_SESSION['lcUser'] = 'joe@joesmail.com';

Then it should function

Just to make it clear :
The new install should be in a "testfolder" and you could use the L-version. The L-version is easy to install and easy to remove after testing.

This is strange.
Just tested again - I cannot provoke this behaviour.

What happens if you use "remember me" ?
From whicjh version did you update?
What happens if you make a new install and then login?

Yes - you are wrong.

It should function on mobiles.
The demo is 4.7.2.L

I guess it is the changes you have made.

You could download the latest version and test this - just to see that it functions on mobiles. ( it does - I have tested ).

Then you could apply your changes one-by-one, and see where it goes wrong - if it does.

When you have pinpointed where it goes wrong, then maybe Roel can help you, to get "correct" code.
Just a suggestion

Where do you tab?
You have to tab the event-title.

Which version are you using?

Try to contact the provider and check :

Have they changed their IP address ?
Have you looked in the logfile to see what IP the cronjob is using?
Does the provider use more than one server and the IP could therefore change?

And you could maybe check yourself : What happens if you start the cronjob "by hand"?

This is just my suggestions to maybe come closer to the problem.

Hello Jacek

Could you provide us with a screen-shot and a description of what exactly is the problem.

Beware that you, in the event-window maybe has to enlarge this if  the text-field has been made bigger.

I would say that the calendar should function regarding the described items ( event-window and hamburger-button ) as this has been tested most intensive with the Chrome browser. Is your browser the latest version?

Did you refresh your browser?

Hello jwrw

You can in usergroup specify credetials for each category ( or all ). You can specify if users are allowed to create/add events and/or allowed to view events.

But this is of course dependent on, if you are logged into the calendar or not.

If you use the displaym you can have a display that shows some categories from the calendar and this display could be set up to be shown on the public pages. Then you could have a copy of the same display to be set up for the logged in area, and in this display could be added some more catagories to be displayed.

You can also have some selections set on the calendar in the public area ( via parameters ) and some other parameters on the calendar set up in the logged-in area. ( the parameters for the calendar will be as if you initially had selected in the options-button). You should therefore maybe remove the options for the public calendar.

Hello Greg

About the help files :
You can find some information here : http://calendarforum.dk/context-sensitive-help.html
As you can see there is no left-over files. There is an explanation for the files.
A tip : If you make customized help-files, you could in that file make a link to a specific page on the calendarforum.dk.

About the approval : To be honest I don't remember any more, in details how this functions. I suggest you make some bookings/events and try it out.
As I remember it, it is a definition - when both you (admin approved event ) and user ( checks todo field on event) has accepted then no changes should take place. The user cannot and the admin should not. Not much in the system is "closed" for the admin smile

Can the default behaviour of LuxCal be changed so that by default, in Public Access, mode the "Options" button does not appear on the Navigation Bar.

Further, can options be added so that it is possible to select which of the three columns on the Options dialogue appear when the dialogue is opened.

This is possible today

Just to clarify :

You can specify what views should be available in the option-button. You can even specify what views should be available for public and what should be available for logged-in.

AND you can also specify what menus ( calendar ( for multi calendar), views,groups,users,categories and language) should be available.
But for the menus you cannot specify what menu available for public and what menu available for logged-in.

I assume that you want a setting for the menus for public ( no menu checked=no option button shown )  and a setting for menus for logged-in - right?

I don't know if you missed something, but if you wish the button"Options" to be hidden for public users and shown for logged in users, then I think you should post this in the suggestion area.

Hello NorfolkGreg

You can uncheck all options for the "Options button" - then the button will not be shown.

You can still choose which view should be used when specifying this as a parameter for the calendar, or set the views as buttons.

But also for a logged in user, the button "Options" will be "gone".

Have you considered using the displays to announce events.
You could have selection on certain categories.

You could also make a link and/or a QR code that directed to the display-calendar.
This way users could have the calendar in their pocket - a calendar that is always updated AND users does not need to install an app. They just have to save the link on their mobile.
