You should create a cron job on your server (in cPanel) which runs daily early in the morning (for example at 3:00) and which starts the lcalcron.php script in the calendar root.
Thereafter email reminders should work. Of course you will have to specify in the Event window that a reminder should be sent  x days before the event date.

Do you mean if I create one Cron Job at 3 AM for example, then I can spesify in the Event Window a reminder of anytime? Anytime for example 10 AM or 14 AM?

Note: open the file lcalcron.php in your editor and have a look at the description at the top of the file

I can not PHP, I knew HTML and CSS and that was in the beginning of their evolution

Hello

To paint a picture about my Plan in luxcal:
"I have 12 hours divided into 3 Categories of 3 hours each, and everytime a Category of 3 hours is finished I have a "buffer" or blank time-space of 1 hour, so I have 3x3 hours pluss 3 hours buffers spread over 12 hours."

e.g. Category Blue Color (3 + 1 hour buffer) it is relatively large time space. I need to add a "layer" of event as a _________ (fill in) of Blue Category.

What is my Purpouse?
I want to use __________ to separate 1 hour from Blue Category and make it e.g. Red and dedicate it for my worktime.

Hello, Good Night (it is Dark now here)

I make this thread for help about e-mail in LuxCal. I will consider SMS in the future maybe.

When I create an Event in LuxCal, then I get a possibility to send email notifications. Do you know how I can make e-mail notifications work?

Peace

Forget sending SMSes; send emails.

I have e-mail on some of my events, it is registered there, but i don't get e-mail. Do you think you know why?

Can I send e-mail in this Format? >>> lunariouis87@icloud.com

I have at this moment contact with only one such "SMS carrier API" company, Stix Utvikling AS, they says: "Access to API for sending SMS costs 40$/month, and quantity SMS under 5000 is 0,48$ pr. SMS..."

What do you think?

Answers to your questions:
1. I don't know. The best way is to search the web and look what other Nowegians suggest. Before you sign up with a provider (SMS carrier)  you should always ask them for a trial user account with some credits (e.g. 1 €) so that you can test if it works with the LuxCal calendar.
2. By checking and reading the documentation on their websites.
3. LuxCal works via an API which sends an email. The email address part before the @ can contain a username/password, or user ID and the part after the @ is the SMS carrier (the provider).

Do you mean at 3 like Mustafa@AltusHost.com?

You can see examples by going to the calendar's Settings page and in the section Reminders - SMS hover over "SMS carrier template".

I struggel with this. I need extensive text@this. I don't see difference between LuxCal setup, and e-mail setup.

Good Night people

I want to ask you. I know there's a To Do choise in settings, and there is a Category choise in settings. I mixed between them as I learned how to create vital Categories. I do not have time to learn more about To Do currently. I would like to ask for help.

Can you help me understand if To Do lists is a Function in LuxCal that I will learn in future? I'd like to find myself. Becaues To Do lists are not a list of events AFAIK.

Hi.

I am Mustafa from Norway. I am not so confident about "mail2sms service provider".

1. How do I find the most reasonable: mail2sms service provider.
2. How do I understand how mail2sms service provider works?
3. How do I connect mail2sms service provider to luxcal on my Webpage?

Thank you on pre-hand
