Could a setup item be added to include a footnote section to the emails?  I am looking for a way to add text stating "We are not associated with ???. Please contact them directly."

The emails I send out are for our 55+ community and people respond as if I am part of the management team. I would like to be able to state I am not associated with the community management without having to add it to all of the events on the calendar.

Thank you for your dedication to LuxCal and your continued improvements.

A very gratified user....Bill

I discovered MY problem with the thumbnails. If you put the image name in EF1 or EF2 the thumbnail won't display.  The file name has to be in the description box for the thumbnail to display. I don't know if I missed that in the instructions or not, but they are working now.  It is a great feature.

I love the new thumbnail features.  When I am logged in I see the thumbnails in the hover box.  When I am not logged in, there are no thumbnails shown in the hover box.

I reset the various user groups to fix the upgrade issue with the thumbnail value, but it didn't fix the issue.

Am I trying to do something the program isn't setup to do or am I missing something?

Thanks for the great upgrade and advice,

Bill

The calendar is still generating SQL errors.  I'm not sure what you mean by the PHP sessions are not working.  I think you saw that in the post, that is timestamped 2019-09-30 09:41:20.

Every day the emails that I have set up to send are going out.  I have added my email address to every campaign.  I verify the number of emails received against the number of emails sent.  What I am not sure of, is everyone who is supposed to receive an email receiving them.

Any assistance regarding the SQL errors would be much appreciated.

I am using SMTP to send the reminders.

I verified with my ISP that they do limit an email to 50 addresses when sent. They also limit each account to 250 emails per hours. Neither limit can be raised while on a shared environment.

So here come the questions (sorry, I just try to be thorough):

Is there a setting in the program to get me around the limit my ISP imposes?

Is there a way to have the program send out the message in blocks of ten or twenty, thereby overcoming the ISP limit of 50 per email?

Could I set up the same calendar entry twice but only have one of them visible to the group?

Thanks for your help, as always,

Bill

I have a recipient list file with 51 email addresses in it.  When I create an event and insert the list file name as the send to, no messages are sent.  If I remove one address from the file, the messages are sent.

Is there a limit of 50 addresses in a recipient file?  If so, can I use two file names and limit each file to no more than 50 addresses?

The address bar when executing item 3 changed to: http://www.gwvillage.com/gwvcal/install475.php

It displays at the top of the form the new calendars to install (populated with the defaults), in the middle of the form is shows installed calendars (No calendars installed in the specified folder, and at the bottom the fields for admin, email and password.

When I put in the admin name, email address, and password and pre the test button (the only button available), I receive the following error messages:

Tests failed:
PHP PDO-SQLite extension NOT enabled.
PHP sessions not working

Tests passed:
PHP version 7.3.7 OK
Form fields OK
Writing to the database folder 'db/'
Writing to the calendars' root folder
Writing to the 'files' folder
Writing an empty sql.log file to the 'logs' folder
Writing an empty luxcal.log file to the 'logs' folder

Thanks for the help,

Bill

I am using version: 4.7.5M.  I tried installed the Lite version and when I run the lctools.php file I receive the following error: PHP PDO-SQLite extension NOT enabled. I contacted my ISP provider and they cannot install the extension on a shared environment.

P.S. The lite version of the calendar did not install.

I received an email stating there was an error in a cronjob.  The file listed is webcal/lcalcron.php. I am instructed to look at /logs/sql.log.  There I find:

Any suggestions?  I am a novice when it comes to both php and sql.

Thanks for your help.

Roel,
I didn't catch the first was on a Friday which meant Thanksgiving was on the fourth Thursday and the day after was on the fifth Friday.

I have donned my dunce cap and will be sitting in the corner for twenty minutes.

Thanks for the prompt response,

Bill

I set up November 29 as Black Friday, flag it as an all day event, save it and everything is good.  Shows up on the calendar views like it is supposed to.  If I then go in and set it to recurring every fourth Friday of November and save it, the entry drops off the calendar views.

I have set up all the holidays through November in 2019 and this is the only instance that is giving me issues.

That fixed it.  I like having all the times aligned correctly when the calendar is printed.  It makes everything look better, IMHO.

The time display setting for leading zero (H) doesn't work for me.  I have tried H:mA and h:mA, both return the same time without the leading zero.

Is there a local setting on my system that might be preventing the leading zero from working?

Thanks,

Bill
