Topic: Uploading Calendar Data

Hi,

I'm trying to upload all the calendar data from my Google calendar to LuxCal.  I have downloaded the Google data and it is currently in a zip file. Now to upload it to my recently installed LuxCal.  Checking the installation instructions for LuxCal, it says:  ...selecting iCal import/iCal export from the admin drop-down menu in the navigation bar.

I'm pretty literal and am easily stuck.  In LuxCal's navigation bar, I find the Options button and click on it.  No mention of import/export.  But aha!, maybe if I check Admin in the User Groups column. I do, and then click on Done.  I again click on Options.  No luck; I don't see the iCal import/iCal export entry.  So, what should I try next?  Also, is there any directory in particular where I need to place the unzipped data file?

Note:  I have installed LuxCal on the server at my ISP and am trying to do this from a client Windows computer's Web browser.

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

Re: Uploading Calendar Data

When you are logged in as the Admin. Click on the drop down where it says "Administration" and you should see "iCal Import"

Re: Uploading Calendar Data

Dan,

As far as I know, I have just one login sequence, and that is as administrator. When I installed LuxCal, I wrote down the admin userid and password. Those are what I use to sign into the calendar. However, I see no drop down that says Administration.

Sounds as though I may have been confused and now need to uninstall the program and then re-install it.

I'll report back.

Thanks for your help!

Roger

Re: Uploading Calendar Data

I uninstalled it and removed it completely. I then re-installed it, using the default username admin as the administrator. What do you know?  the button on the right with three horizontal lines on it (side menu) shows iCal Import and iCal Export!!!!  I swear it wasn't there before.

Anyhow, I think I'll be able to take it from here.  Thanks so much!!!

Roger
